“Kkodaman Ggwabaegi” located on one side of the Maeil Olle Market in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. It sells glutinous rice crackers and the world’s first cheese lobster bread. I stopped by because I was amazed at the lobster bread. The principle is like bungeoppang. Half of the dough is put in a crayfish-shaped frame, half the crab meat and half the cheese, and then cover the dough again. When time passes after covering the frame like that, the cheese crayfish bread baked in a brown color comes out.
At first, you can feel the simplicity of crab meat and the savory taste of cheese when you eat half of it. Its location is also in the middle of Olleh Market, so it’s accessible and the sticky rice ggwabaegi(twisted bread), which is sold with the amazing lobster bread, is also chewy and delicious. As expected, the market is fun to taste street food.
There are so many different street foods these days. You can find the world’s first cheese lobster bread at Olle Market in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. The first in the world? The shape is the first in the world. The method is the same as bungeoppang. First, fill half of the dough in a crayfish-shaped mold, then add half of the cheese and crab meat, and then fill the dough again.
If you take a bite, the crab meat comes in clean first, and if you eat another half, you can feel the savory taste of cheese. Here at Olleh Market’s “Kkodaman Ggwabaegi” store, they sell not only lobster bread but also glutinous rice Ggwabaegi(twisted bread) as well. Cut the dough directly into a twist and put it into oil.
