Bamboo Forest in Dense Grand Forest, Juknokwon
Damyang Juknokwon bamboo garden is a large bamboo forest on the left-hand side of Hyanggyo Bridge, which is surrounded by Gwanbang Jerim and Damyangcheon Stream, the coolness of the Yeongsan River.
With a dense forest of about 160,000 square meters, Damyang created the Seongseongsan Mountain area and opened in May 2003.
Stepping on the stone steps one by one at the entrance to Juknokwon, the wind blowing through the bamboo trees relaxes the mind and body, which is tired of everyday life. Also, as you walk through the bamboo forest path, listening to the crunching sound of the leaves, it feels refreshing to feel the sunshine pouring through the green leaves.
Inside the bamboo garden, bamboo tea grows naturally, which is grown on dewdrops falling from bamboo leaves. After enjoying a bamboo bath, you can enjoy a cup of tea to relax your mind.

From the observation deck, you can see Damyang Gwanbangjerim forest, which is composed of old trees that are over 300 years old, and Metasequoia Garosu-gil(street), a specialty of Damyang.
There is an ecological exhibition hall, an artificial waterfall, an ecological pond, and an outdoor performance hall, and lights are installed in the bamboo forest to allow people to take a walk at night.

Bamboo grows well in warm, moist land. It’s a plant that grows up to 120 centimeters a day depending on the weather conditions. There’s a place where bamboo is famous for growing well. It’s Damyang. The annual average temperature and precipitation in Damyang are good conditions for bamboo growth.

It is 2.2 kilometers long to enjoy bamboo bathing. Walk slowly along the forest path, where bamboo has grown for more than 30 years, and breathe in fresh air. The temperature of the bamboo forest is 4 to 7 degrees lower than other places, so you can feel the coolness when you walk. This is because bamboo produces more oxygen than other plants.
In about an hour and a half, you can take a good look around the bamboo forest road. If your leg hurts, you can rest in a pavilion.
In addition to this area, there are also ecological exhibition halls, artificial waterfalls, grass fields, sports facilities such as volleyball, foot volleyball, table tennis, and badminton courts, as well as accommodations, outdoor cooking areas, and showers.
