Mapo-gu, Seoul

Description:
If there is a Central Park in Manhattan, New York, there is a “Yeontral Park” in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The real name of ‘Yeontral park’ is Gyeongui Line Forest Road.
Gyeongui Line, which used to be connected to Seoul and Shinuiju, made its first debut in June 2015 as a result of the Urban Regeneration Project, which turned the waste railway at the ground level into a forest road park after hiding railway underground.
The total length of the forest road from Wonhyo-dong, Yongsan-gu to Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu is 6.3 kilometers, and the most popular section is Yeonnam-dong, which features various pubs and restaurant cafes around the forest trail.
Families who took a walk with their children and young people who enjoyed music or drank beer are common scenes here at night.
