Various flea markets are held throughout the year in Seoul.
The most notable are the Flea Market in front of Hongdae, the original of the flea market, and the Marche@ Hyehwa, a Korean-style Farmer’s Market.
The Hongdae front flea market, which takes place at a playground in front of Hongdae, has a ‘wish market’ held every Sunday and a ‘free market’ held every other Saturday.
You can meet a variety of handcrafted works by amateur artists around Hongdae, and portraits painting is also popular.

Marche@ Hyehwa is a representative free market for Daehankno and a Farmer’s Market where urban farmers participate.
It will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second Sunday of every month at Marronier Park, with the concept of consumers and producers meeting in person to sell fresh food ingredients and food.
