Hongdae Free Market is an open space between diverse artists and visitors to communicate with each other and consume culture.
Various flea markets are held throughout the year in Seoul.
The most notable are the Flea Market in front of Hongdae, the original of the flea market, and the Marche@ Hyehwa, a Korean-style Farmer’s Market.
The Hongdae front flea market, which takes place at a playground in front of Hongdae, has a ‘wish market’ held every Sunday and a ‘free market’ held every other Saturday.
You can meet a variety of handcrafted works by amateur artists around Hongdae, and portraits painting is also popular.
Marche@ Hyehwa is a representative free market for Daehankno and a Farmer’s Market where urban farmers participate.
It will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second Sunday of every month at Marronier Park, with the concept of consumers and producers meeting in person to sell fresh food ingredients and food.
