Jeju Island, where many of the world’s natural heritage are distributed. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is one of them.
‘Seong San’ because it looks like a huge castle. The rising sun adds to the beautiful meaning of ‘Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak’
Before you visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, you should visit Seopjikoji. The word Seopjikoji is the Jeju dialect of the cape which means the terrain that protrudes into the sea.

I can see Seopjikoji far away. This place, which has appeared in many movies and dramas. One of the most famous is All In House, which appeared in the drama ‘All In’.
An entrance to Seopjikoji. It takes about five minutes from the entrance by car to get to the Seopjikoji parking lot and the ticket office.
Inside Seopjikoji, a tourist complex is formed, so a huge resort and condo are located.
The cool sea of Jeju island. The waves are high whether it is windy or not. The sound of the waves breaking makes my heart flutter.
Walk along the Seopjikoji Coast and see the sea breeze.
So that towering rock over there is a rock called ‘Seondol Rock’?
I can’t see many foreign tourist groups today. If you use the day of the week and time well, you can see it more convenient.
That building on the left over there is ‘Koji House’. It’s called the filming location of the drama ‘All In’.
The Seobjikoji Dulegil(Trail) is longer than I thought. No matter what, comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes are the best. My goal is that white lighthouse.
The body is walking forward, but my head turns to the right and looks at the sea. Be careful not to bump the person in front of you. And greeting people with a smile.
The sea looks different according to the direction in which light shines on the sea and according to our eyes. Jeju sea is harmonized with dark blue and emerald colors.
Don’t just look at the front but look back once in a while to see a different landscape.
I can see the lighthouse. The destination is just around the corner.
So, I have to go up there. I’m sweating in the hot sun, but I’m still going up. It’s smaller than I thought. It looked big from a distance. But It’s too small to come near.
When you get to the lighthouse, you can see the whole area at a glance. About 20 minutes from the entrance?
The thought of going back to the entrance gives me a short sigh, but soon I’m overwhelmed by the scenery.
I thought this was the last spot in this lighthouse, but on the other side of the lighthouse, there’s a whole lot more.
The map says we can make a big turn. I’ll get to the right position and then I’ll come back.
I can see Seongsan Ilchulbong in the distance. Next stop is over there!
You look like a giant castle.
Most people come here and turn around, but I’m going to look more.
Let’s go down to the other side.
Did i come too far? Cuz I have to go back..
At first glance, it looks like an island floating in the middle of the sea.
I should go back now. I can’t wait to see Seongsan Ilchulbong. If i come to Jeju Island next time, Then I’ll have to schedule to walk here a big round.
Keep my eyes on the rock and watch as it changes with distance. It takes about 30 minutes to get back to the parking lot.
Let’s go to Seongsan Ilchulbong now!
