Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market
Description:
Noryangjin Fishery Market is one of Korea’s largest seafood markets.
The market handles about 50% of metropolitan volumes and 250 to 300 tons of marine products are traded every day.
It is South Korea’s first fisheries market that started in 1927. All fishery products from South Korea will be gathered here in Seoul, where there is no ocean.
The process of tasting fish products here starts with selecting fish products.
About 700 stores selling live fish, fresh fish, shellfish, frozen marine products and dried fish are densely located.
You can pick the fish you want to taste, ask for the price per kilogram at the store you like, and make it right away when you buy it.
You can pack it up and take it, or you can ask, “Where’s the restaurant?” and they will guide you to ‘Chojangjip’ in Noryangjin’s language.
Chojangjip, Noryangjin Restaurant
Chojangjip is a restaurant that provides a place to enjoy purchased fishery products with various spices and alcoholic beverages.
