Seonamsa Temple is beautiful throughout the year, but it is especially inviting during the spring when all the bluish and brilliant flowers start to bloom
Thousand years history Temple: Seonamsa Temple

Seonamsa Temple is a beautiful temple. It has a thousand-year history in harmony between human and nature, and is still there today. Despite the poor but woefully beautiful scenery, It is still beautiful.

The road to Temple is gentle. As you climb along the soft dirt road, clear stream, through a dense forest and the harmony of birds hasten the spring.

As soon as you walk around the corner of the mountain road with a solemn mind, you will be able to see two picturesque red bridges, and your eyes will brighten. The bridge is called Seungseongyo Bridge. The Seungseongyo Bridge, designated as Treasure No. 400, is one of the few beautiful bridges along with Bihonggyo bridge at the entrance of Jangan Temple in Mount Geumgang.

If you walk up the valley, you can cross a small stream called Gangsunru and enter the grounds of Seonamsa Temple. Two Honggyo bridges are placed to cross the valley and cross it again, thereby greatly enhancing the beauty of nature.
In addition, as a symbol of distinguishing the world from the world of virtue, It is surprising in the formative rituals and aesthetic sensibilities of the ancients.

Apricot blossoms that sheds light on Temple

Another beauty of Seonamsa Temple is the flower tree.
When one looks at the numerous plants, one cannot tell whether this is a temple or a arboretum. One of the most representative of them is the Gomok Apricot blossoms, called Seonamsa Apricot blossoms.
Behind the Daebokjeon Hall, there is an old Apricot blossoms that has been around for more than 100 years The twists and turns of the branches are unusual. It is literally a flower paradise when the rare flowers begin to bloom in the spring breeze.

The deep and clear spirit of tea

It is also famous for its tea. Fresh tea leaves from wild tea fields sponsored by Seonamsa Temple when spring sunshine is abundant.
Sunamsa wild tea made by steaming it 9 times and grinding it 9 times is a source of Korean tea culture.
